new STYX cd

Look in February for the new STYX cd called CYCLORAMA, Todd Suchermann is the the drummer and this cd will blow you away. If you like Vinnie and Smith, Todd's chops, feel and execution on the kit will impress you.
I am not at liberty to divulge much at the moment but I have heard the disc and all 14 tunes are amazing. So be on the look in February, I will post more as times comes closer.
Oh Todd has a drum loop cd out now from he same guys whom did the Steve Smith loop disc.

STYX has 2 dvds with Todd on drums. RETURN TO PARADISE and ARCH ALLIES.
I have heard the Stevie Nicks cd, not that great.

I was able to video-record that whole show off PBS, Uno - it's called "Styx Live - Return to [the] Paradise." Todd does a fine job - prob. the best drummer to ever play w/ them - he's slammin' [no insult to orig. drummer John Panozzo who has passed-on, tho....]

Good news about their recurring popularity - thanx 4 the tip, Randy. They were a personal fav WAY back when - at the time a pretty darned good commercial/pop-rock-w/-vox band - "Pieces of 8" & "The Grand Illusion" were vey cool at the time, & still hold up today in their own way....

Ditto the numeroUnoHODfan post. Isn't Todd the guy that lives down the street from Nigel Olsen here in LA? I think he wanted to do sessions here and was battling the STYX gig, the touring, the 'label'...good to see he did his thing.

Todd lives in Sherman Oaks, actually right around the corner from both Vinnie and Roger Daltry. We have gone to Vinnies house a few times. Kinda funny, we geaked out and drove by! Todd gets sessions, but just not as many as he would want. He did the loop cd, he is on the new Michael Bolton cd too.

I saw him on some PBS Styx concert special and wondered who the heck he was cuz he was soooo good. Don't know if they ever released that vid, something I wouldn't mind adding to my concert collection.

Anyone ever hear the tunes Vinnie did with ASIA and Stevie Nicks? Just wonderin'.
